About Tara Young
​
Tara Young is a Learning and Development Consultant with expertise in leadership development, new manager training and innovation capability-building. She works with Fortune 100 companies, startups, universities, and nonprofits, helping clients to envision, build and implement learning programs that have impact. As a consultant, she has created learning experiences and tools for clients including Johnson & Johnson, Harvard Business School Publishing, the University of New Haven and MENTOR.
Prior to founding TY Learning Design, Tara was Senior Director of Learning at the innovation and strategy consulting firm, Innosight, helping clients to implement the innovation theories of Harvard Business School professor Clayton Christensen. While at Innosight, she established the learning function as the company doubled in size. As head of the learning organization, she oversaw training and knowledge management initiatives for the professional consulting staff and contributed to the development of the firm’s IP. Earlier in her career, Tara was a course developer at an online learning start-up company and a case writer at Harvard Business School, working with Professor Christensen.

Tara has a M.Ed. in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts and a B.A. in Anthropology from Boston University. She is a volunteer tour guide at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
